i'm reading a book about judaism right now. one of the main factions in israel right now is the "secular zionists". their view is basically that (i'm no expert) the Torah and synagogue were simply means by which the Jewish nation maintained its identity in exile. now that there is a nation of israel, everything is Jewish (air, land, billboards) and there is no need for the religious aspect of Judaism. what do ya think? everything is religion so there is no need for formal religion?

hey rusty,
my email account is frozen, so this is the only way to respond to your email about work, sorry. i'm not meaning this in an asshole way, but it really wouldn't be cool if you worked open to close every saturday. you have 40 hrs. a week with mark...at least. i hope you will have empathy and realize that i DON"T have any other job besides churchill...and although i'm not moving to kansas, i need money equally as much. churchill is my number one job priority, the health dep't is yours. i feel like i should be entitled to open and close every saturday, as you are leaving; i've mentioned this to chris, but said that i would split saturdays with you if you would like. so...i've compromised by not bitching about letting you open/close every other saturday, i would appreciate opening and closing half of the saturdays, as i have no other job for money. i mean i sound like a jerk, but i don't know of any other way to make the point, i'm kinda surprised you asked. no hard feelings.

kenny, i know that you are not an asshole. the reason i mentioned it is that i need cash. i'm paying for school; as of now i have no scholarships. but, i understand where you're coming from. we can split up saturdays, it's no big deal. no hard feelings.
